Nieuport 17

Modified vac-form in 1/24th scale

One day, perhaps, I will finish this model of the elegant little Nieuport 17. It is based on an ancient vac-form Black Knight kit that I picked up second-hand at an air-show. I’ve still to make the Le Rhone and prop, add a few control wires and finalise the markings. B1566 was flown by ace ‘Billy’ Bishop. His machine features on the cover of Windsock Datafile 20 in this simple but attractive colour scheme.
